Motherhood + Baby

My Top Baby Items for 9-12 Months Old

If there’s one thing I can take away from motherhood, it’s that everything is temporary – and that includes your baby’s interests and needs. For better or for worse. With that being said, I’m sure most moms can relate when I say that I feel like I’ve purchased every baby toy and product under the sun to try to keep my kid entertained and happy for longer than 3.5 seconds. So today I figured I would share some of the things that have worked for our very curious and active baby from 9ish months until now (11 months). The items I’m sharing (everything is linked) are things he has always gone back to and aren’t some of the toys and baby products already collecting dust in the garage while waiting for the next child or sitting at the bottom of the toy bin. These are all actual TRIED & TRUE products that I’ve found useful as a busy mama to a baby who loves to explore.

Toys:

Little Tikes Cozy Roadster: Whether in it being pulled or just sitting near it, Henry loves his blue car and honking the horn.

B. toys Parum Pum Pum: Henry loves all the “instruments” and taking the lid of the drum off and on.. and off and on.

VTech® Sit to Stand Learning Walker: This toy definitely grows with your baby from sitting in front of it to running down the hallway!

Melissa & Doug First Bead Maze: This is great for the high chair & I know I loved a good bead maze as a little one.

Then there’s also the tupperware drawer, the old remote with no batteries we gave him, and any shoe he can get his little hands on. INSERT EYE ROLL HERE.

Books:

Never Touch a Monster: Not only is this such a cute book, but it has different textures for baby to explore.

Teach my Baby: This kit includes lots of books & activities – Henry loves the “sounds” portion & always wants me to read it!

Where is Baby’s Belly Button: It’s a classic for a reason.

Eat + Drink:

ezpz Mat: This sticks to the highchair pretty well & I think the colors keep it fun — and it’s easy to clean!

Munchkin Sippy Cup & Snack Catcher: LOVE this combo (the sippy cup has a thicker straw than the Zoli & the snack cup is perfect for little hands and minimal mess on the go).

Bumkins Bibs: SO easy to clean and they cover a lot of surface area for messy eaters.

Bath:

Boon RIPPLE Bath Mat: My little baby is finally sitting in the big bathtub – cue the tears!

Munchkin Bath Letters: Henry loves sticking these to the sides of the tub – and then chewing on them, of course.

Teething:

Baltic Amber Necklace: One of those things that you can choose to believe in or not, but for us it definitely helps (especially with the drool)!

Boon PULP: Just add some frozen fruit and not only does it help your little babe’s gums, but keeps them occupied for a little while too.
