Taking a Black Bodysuit from Day to Night

I have been looking for the PERFECT black bodysuit all freakin’ summer long. When did I finally find one? When I stopped looking and gave up hope, of course! While I was shopping for our Hamptons trip, I stumbled across my new favorite wardrobe staple at Bloomingdales. This particular off-the-shoulder ruffled black bodysuit by Aqua is flattering (hello new mama hips!), high quality and super versatile. I wanted something in black because 1. it’s my favorite color, obviously and 2. I wanted something that I could wear into fall since it’s warm hellish hot all year long here in South Florida. For daytime, I paired the bodysuit with a pair of denim boyfriend shorts and espadrilles. Sandals would’ve worked perfectly – but for rainy days I like shoes with a closed toe! For me, this outfit is easy, comfortable and classic. PS- these denim shorts are on sale for under $25!

To take this ruffled bodysuit into the evening, I switched out my denim shorts for regular boyfriend jeans, put on some strappy heels and a different shape of lipstick, and added a clutch. High waited skinny jeans would’ve also been cute with a pair of statement earrings. Date night ready!
